PORCELAIN TILE PROBLEMS

Tough, not `indestructible.`

Porcelain tiles are among the toughest materials, but scratches, backstamp marks, dullness and slipperiness have different causes and need different treatments.

Scratches

Sand, construction debris and dragged furniture break the reflection of polished porcelain: against the light they can be seen from far away.

Backstamp marks

Marks and haze that stay on the surface and won’t come off with ordinary cleaning. With the right treatment, they can often be removed.

Dullness

Sponges, pads or harsh products dull the surface little by little, until the finish loses its shine.

Wet polished porcelain can become dangerous. Anti-slip treatment increases grip without changing how the floor looks.
